Our church members have gone far and wide, as well as locally to help the less fortunate. Some regularly travel to Africa, whilst others have gone to Romania, Syria and Mongolia. Others, help the local community and the UK.
Victory Church have a vision to help the local area and further afield. We believe that helping the poor is something that we are called to do as a church, and is something that Jesus wants us to do.
We currently support an orphanage project in Akure, Nigeria which is assisted by Pastor Kenny Popoola, who is part of the Victory Church Preaching team. Kenny founded Dominion Gospel Christ International Ministries, which is now beginning to construct an orphanage to assist the widows and orphans. Victory Church has felt compassion towards widows and orphans and so it is great to be able to sow into, pray and encourage Kenny and the team. More can be found out about this mission by visiting Kenny's website http://www.kennypopoolaministries.com or by going to our blog page to see the journey unfold. By supporting our charitable events, you too are helping. Below are some great pictures shared with us from those who have gone on missions and helped charitable causes.
Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
