Joy Of The People

May 31, 2017

One of the most beautiful things to witness, is happiness and joy in children.  God is no different.  As His children, He delights and wants us to be happy, healthy, whole and enjoying life. We are often bombarded with negative news, but as followers of Jesus Christ, we can absorb ourselves in the good news that Jesus came to share with us.

Proverbs 17:22

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Always be of good cheer, for what Jesus has done is to relieve us of the wages of sin and death.  Be joyful and triumphant because our King has the victory.  There is some awesome power in rejoicing through bad times.  It gives a clear signal to the enemy that he has no power over us, because we have Jesus living within us.  Jesus living power has the victory.

Many of these orphans will have gone through unimaginable suffering, worry and heartache.  They will have gone through things that we will not have to experience, and yet they smile, dance and laugh!  How great it is so see them flourishing.

 Psalm 100:2

Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into His presence with singing!

So even if (like Kenny below) you have your hands full, be happy and joyful always. God's children are blessed to do all great things.  Things may be difficult, but we can learn something very positive from the children and adults at the orphanage.  We can learn to dance in the rain, sing through the storms and shout out praise to God for He has a plan for us all.  These children and adults as this orphanage are being made strong and whole, thanks to Jesus.

Mark 9: 36-37

He took a little child whom He placed among them. Taking the child in His arms, he said to them 'Whoever welcomes these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me, but the one who sent me.'
